How Is The Radome Finished by Spinning
Radome is a structure that protects the antenna system from the external environment. It has good electromagnetic wave penetration characteristics in electrical properties and can withstand the adverse external environment in mechanical properties.

Using spinning technology to make radome can improve the strength of the product, improve the integrity of the structural parts, reduce the deformation of the parts, increase the life of the product, and improve the production efficiency and reduce the production cost.

In the spinning process, the radome is transformed from a flat round slab to a spherical or parabolic radome. The circular slab is under circumferential compression and radial tension, but it is different from the drawing process. During spinning, there is basically point contact between the roller and the billet, and the billet will produce two kinds of deformation under the action of the roller: One is the local plastic deformation of the material directly in contact with the roller; The other is that the billet falls in the direction of the roller pressure.
It is important to control the roller during operation. Improper operation will cause material instability, wrinkling, shaking or tearing. When spinning, it is important to select proper spindle speed, transition shape of drive and roller pressure. If the spindle speed is too low, the billet will be unstable. If the rotational speed is too high, the contact between the material and the roller is too frequent, and it is easy to over-thin; The reasonable speed is related to the type of material, thickness and the diameter of the madrel. When the billet diameter is large and the thickness is small, the speed can be small, and the opposite is large.
Prosper has successfully produced many radomes, such as the size of 1.8m,1.2m,0.9m,0.6m,0.3m radomes and so on.
