Spinning Mold Material
In the field of metal processing, spinning is a non cutting forming technology that has advantages such as good deformation conditions, stable product performance, small dimensional tolerances, high material utilization, and a wide range of products.
Commonly used mold materials are 45# steel, 5Crmnmo, and Cr12.
When designing spinning molds, the materials used in the molds vary depending on the materials being processed.
Aluminum spinning processing commonly uses 45 # steel, which has low hardness, is easy to process, and has low material costs. Due to the slow speed of the spinning aluminum mold, 45 # steel can meet the demand, and the mold's service life is about 5 years; If the inner wall surface of the product requires brightness, it is better to choose CR12 steel as the mold material. Because the surface quality of the inner wall of the product is related to the surface quality of the mold.

After heat treatment, CR12 steel has higher hardness and better wear resistance. After completion, it can be polished into a mirror finish; Iron spinning and stainless steel spinning also require the production of CR12 steel molds. Due to the high hardness of iron and stainless steel materials, the wear of the mold is relatively large. The service life of CR12 mold processing iron and stainless steel can reach 10 years.
