How to Solve the Leakage of Hydraulic System
During the production process, sometimes we may find that the hydraulic system occasionally fails to drive the load, the hydraulic cylinder piston rod stops incorrectly, the thrust is insufficient, and the operating speed decreases, resulting in a decrease in product processing accuracy or the production of defective products. This may be caused by a leak in the hydraulic system. What should we do when the hydraulic system leaks?

First, it is necessary to confirm whether a leak has indeed occurred, find the leak point of the system, and then conduct targeted maintenance to solve the leak problem. There are usually several leakage situations in the hydraulic system.
  1. Hydraulic cylinder internal leakage
Common internal leakage of hydraulic cylinder includes leakage caused by excessive wear of cylinder block seal, piston rod and seal cover seal and piston seal. The main reasons for the sealing leakage of the piston rod and the seal cover are the folding, extrusion, tearing, wear, aging, deterioration, deformation, etc., at this time, it is necessary to replace the new seal.
2. Hydraulic circuit leakage
Generally refers to the leakage of various valves and hydraulic pipelines. For ordinary hydraulic cylinders, the conventional inspection method is to check and eliminate the leakage of the hydraulic connection line by manipulating the reversing valve.
3. The hydraulic oil flows back to the oil tank through the relief valve
If the debris entering the relief valve jams the spool so that the relief valve is normally open, the hydraulic oil will flow directly back to the tank through the relief valve bypass, resulting in no oil entering the hydraulic cylinder. If the load is too large, although the regulating pressure of the relief valve has reached the rated value, the hydraulic cylinder still cannot get the thrust required for continuous action, so it does not move; If the adjustment pressure is low, the pressure is insufficient to reach the required vertebra force of the load, which is manifested as insufficient thrust. At this time, the relief valve should be checked and adjusted, and the problem should be solved in time.
The hydraulic system is a very integrated system. Each component is maintained in a state of communication with hydraulic oil as the medium. A small problem in one part may have a great impact on another part under the flow of hydraulic oil, and eventually lead to leaks or other failures. Therefore, pay attention to the correct use and maintenance of the hydraulic system in production.
